Renuka is a Vancouver-based screenwriter with roots in Kitimat, BC.
Following an almost ten-year career in the finance sector, Renuka embarked on a significant career shift to screenwriting in 2020. Since then, she has written on Netflix's I Woke Up a Vampire and served as Executive Story Editor for Season 2 of Reginald The Vampire. Additionally, she has been involved in developing TV series projects in collaboration with CBC, Bell Media, and Corus Entertainment.

Renuka was recognized as one of Canada's Top 10 Talents to Watch by Playback. She was also selected as one of the top 25 participants for the Netflix-Banff Diversity of Voices Pitch program, and her half-hour comedy pilot, "Brown Girl Town," was the WGC's Script of the Month.

Renuka holds a BBA in Business Management and a diploma in International Business. She is an alumna of the Pacific Screenwriting Program's (PSP) Scripted Series Lab, a fellow of the BIPOC TV & Film Showrunner Training Bootcamp, and dedicated member of the PSP board.
